Terms of Service
Effective May 3, 2026 · Last updated May 3, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CrawlHub website and services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you are agreeing on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity. In that case "you" refers to both you individually and the entity.
1. The Service
CrawlHub provides a real-time web-intelligence platform that crawls publicly available data from third-party platforms ("Target Platforms") and delivers it to customers via API and dashboard. We do not crawl behind login walls, bypass platform safety mechanisms, or collect data the platform has flagged as private.
The Service is provided as a SaaS subscription. Specific platforms supported, rate limits, and pricing are described on the Pricing page and may evolve over time.
2. Eligibility and account registration
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater) to use the Service. You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Crawl, store, or process data the Target Platform has explicitly designated as private or that requires authentication that you do not have.
- Bypass, disable, or interfere with security or integrity-of-service mechanisms of any Target Platform.
- Conduct credential stuffing, password spraying, account takeover, or any form of unauthorized access.
- Target specific natural persons for harassment, intimidation, doxing, stalking, or surveillance that violates their rights under applicable law.
- Train machine-learning models on personal data of natural persons without a lawful basis.
- Resell raw crawled records to third parties without our written consent (you may incorporate them into derivative analytical products).
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
- Reverse-engineer the Service, decompile our code, or attempt to extract source code or proprietary algorithms.
- Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk communications.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. We will, where lawful, give notice and an opportunity to remediate before terminating, but reserve the right to act immediately on egregious violations.
4. Customer responsibilities
The Service surfaces public data from Target Platforms. You are responsible for the lawful and ethical use of records you obtain through the Service, including:
- Compliance with data-protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, and others) when records contain personal data of natural persons.
- Compliance with the Target Platform's own Terms of Service to the extent applicable to the use you make of the data.
- Honoring deletion / objection requests from data subjects when required.
- Industry-specific obligations (financial, medical, legal, government) where they apply.
We make no representation that any specific use of crawled records is lawful in your jurisdiction.
5. Payment, plans, and refunds
Pricing is published on the Pricing page. Pay-as-you-go is billed monthly based on consumption. Subscription tiers (Scaler, Business) are billed monthly in advance. Enterprise plans are governed by separate written agreements.
Failure to pay may result in suspension of the Service. We may adjust pricing on at least 30 days' notice for active subscriptions; you may cancel before the change takes effect.
Refunds are issued at our discretion, generally only for service incidents we cause that cause measurable downtime.
6. Intellectual property
You retain all rights to crawled records you obtain through the Service.
We retain all rights to the Service itself — code, infrastructure, documentation, branding, and the way records are processed and delivered. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for the duration of your subscription and a perpetual license to use records you've already received.
Feedback and suggestions you provide may be used by us without compensation or attribution.
7. Service changes and platform churn
Target Platforms periodically change their structures, APIs, anti-bot regimes, and terms. We commit to working in good faith to maintain crawlers across these changes, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to any specific Target Platform. Where a Target Platform becomes infeasible to crawl ethically or technically, we will notify affected customers and may discontinue support for that endpoint with reasonable notice.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- Crawled data will be complete, accurate, current, or free of errors.
- The Service will operate without interruption.
- Any Target Platform will remain accessible.
- The Service is fit for any specific regulated use case.
You assume the risk of decisions made based on data delivered through the Service.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR LOST DATA.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages. In those jurisdictions, the limitations above apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any third-party claim arising from your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, including claims by data subjects whose personal data you collect through the Service in violation of applicable law.
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, or as otherwise required by law.
Upon termination: your access ends, your stored records (if any are retained under managed storage) are deleted within the period described in our Privacy Policy, and accrued fees become immediately due. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) survive.
12. Compliance with sanctions and export controls
You may not use the Service if you are located in a country subject to comprehensive sanctions, or if you are on a relevant denied-parties list. You may not use the Service to provide services to such persons or for end uses prohibited under applicable export-control laws.
13. Modifications to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent change. For material changes we'll notify active customers by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which CrawlHub is incorporated, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved by binding arbitration in that jurisdiction, except either party may seek injunctive relief in court for misuse of intellectual property or breach of confidentiality.
15. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CrawlHub regarding the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
